Juvéderm^® is an injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid compound which naturally occurs in the skin along with collagen and elastin. Hyaluronic acid retains water and increases skin’s volume and density. The appearance of wrinkles can be reversed by adding structure and volume to the skin.

Juvéderm® helps replace the hyaluronic acid that skin has lost due to the aging process, excessive sun exposure, stress, and other factors. This soft and natural filler is most often used to eliminate or reduce the wrinkles and folds located around the mouth, known as the smile lines (nasolabial folds), marionette lines, as well as to lift the lip corners. Juvéderm® is also used with great success for replacing the volume, restoring the contour, or enhancing the shape of the lips. Juvéderm® XC is formulated with the addition of a common anesthetic, lidocaine, resulting in a much more comfortable experience during and after treatment. To further enhance the comfort of our patients, we also routinely apply a topical anesthetic cream prior to the injection.

Due to the Hyalacross^® technology in production of the Juvéderm^® gel, the duration of results achieved is up to 1 year.
