Office Policies

New patients are always welcome to our practice! Most of our new patients are referred by friends and family members of existing patients. Each season we make available Seasonal Promotions to our new and existing clients. This is just one of the ways we try to show appreciation for choosing us!

Our office staff will be happy to assist you, answer your questions and make every effort to accommodate your schedule. We take pride in making our patients feel valued and comfortable. Please call (301) 656-SKIN (7546) to make your appointment today. We will work hard to meet or exceed your expectations!

Cancellations

Please remember that we reserve the appointment time especially for you. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please kindly provide us with 48 hours of notice so that we can make this time available to another patient.

Health Insurance Plans

Our office participates with the PPO options of CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, United Healthcare, Great-West Healthcare, and with Medicare.

In the event that we are not contracted with your insurance company, full payment is required at the time of the visit. We accept checks and most major credit cards. We will gladly provide you with a complete statement that you may mail to your insurance company for reimbursement (their address is listed on the reverse of your insurance card). Many (but not all) insurance plans have “out-of-network benefit coverage,” which, subject to the particular insurance company’s provisions and certain limitations, makes it possible for the patient to receive reimbursement for charges incurred at the non-participating provider's office. Please call your insurance company for more specific information prior to your appointment.

Of course, the cosmetic procedures are generally not covered or reimbursed by insurance companies since they are most often not considered “medically necessary.”
