Dr. Sommerville believes in high ethical standards for all providers and is concerned about documented reports of patients receiving substandard treatments at certain medical spas. There have been reports of overdiluting BOTOX® resulting in short-lasting results. Substituting injectable fillers for cheaper imported or counterfeit alternatives has taken place at some medical spa facilities without patients' knowledge or consent.
